Programs and Partnerships at EarthTeach

The Park's barely-tapped value to this region's communities goes beyond simply being a splendid place for a hike. Great experiences during the Park's first decade include: hundreds of Rogue Valley middle school graduates who have spent a day learning about life, team building, and leadership on the world class challenge “ropes” course under the tall canopy of fir and pine in the lower section of the park; proud relatives and friends of blooming young artists attending the Grande Finale of summer fine arts camps and viewing an array of sculpting, watercolor, musical performance, and theatrical wonders – as presented to celebrate a magical week of creating in the woods; “at risk” teens working and caring for the land, experiencing job pride and satisfaction and perhaps, a critical reframing of values; families sharing a weeklong Coyote Trails wilderness camping adventure of days deep in the inland areas of the park and nights under a brilliant star-filled sky, and many a solace or inspiration-seeking visitor recalling their first walk of the high elevation labyrinth.

As The Way Foundation fulfills the important part of its mission to work with, host and help sustain deserving and innovative programs, the partnerships such as those included here offer ongoing and rewarding adventures for all of us.
